My next Create-o is an up cycling of a clay pot that we had bought for our house warming puja.
A clay pot full of water mounted on a bed of rice, with some fresh mango leaves and a coconut on top of the pot is generally kept outside the door during the ceremony. The whole set up symbolises mother earth ,water,food,life and holiness.It is an important part of a Hindu puja.
After the puja the pot was of no use at all and I thought of turning it into my next project.
I used traditional red, golden and yellow colour, took inspiration from the ancient warli art and rajasthani mirror work to give the pot an altogether new look.
